This weekend saw the whole team taking a minibus trip to Yorkshire for our team challenge; The Yorkshire Three Peaks!
We met in Mitcham, London, Friday lunchtime and packed the minibus with all our walking stuff! We stopped to pick Van up enroute and set off for Yorkshire. The long journey saw us all singing, and dancing in the bus, to songs including the Spice Girls and S Club 7!

We arrived and pitched a 20man tent in the dark, by the light of the minibus' headlights, only to discover later that we had flattened the battery! 20 man tent up, we unloaded the bus, set up a kitchen and our beds and headed to bed.
6am arrived far too quickly and we were up, dressed and had eaten a huge breakfast (muslei with hot milk, croissants and pastries) ready to leave at 7am. Our first peak was to be Pen-y-ghent at 694m. We registered with the Pen-y-ghent cafe and set off along the footpaths.

As we walked the rain came down heavier and heavier. We were soaked! It took us two hours to reach the top in the wind and rain, but we made it!!
On the way back down we split into two smaller groups. One half continued up to take on Whernside (736m) and the other half retired for the day. The group climbing Whernside made it to the summit in good time!

The other half of the team returned to the campsite to get dried off, however they discovered that the tent was leaking. They spent most of their time pitching smaller tents inside the 20man tent and moving everyone's bedding to keep it dry.
We all met in the pub at the end of the walk and returned to the campsite where Tony and Joe had cooked us an amazing stew including dumplings, and the rest of the team dried off (and laughed at tents inside tents!)
As we were all shattered we had an early night!

Sunday morning we had a bit of a lie-in to help us recover! We were woken up with mugs of tea and hot chocolate which was great! Breakfast was mushrooms, fried tomatoes, sausages and bacon - yum!
4 of the group then put back on their wet rucksacks and headed out to take on the final peak - Ingleborough (723m). They made it to the top in the sunshine and took lots of photos on the peak!
The two remaining team members stayed at the campsite with Tony and Joe to hang out all the wet clothes, strike camp and pack the minibus ready for the return trip home!
